41. Design of Deep Learning Graphical User Interface (GUI) Suite for Automated Medical Image Analysis (E-12-PMAR-009)

 

In this project, we developed a graphical user interface (GUI) suite which allows for the visualisation and processing of medical images. In particular, both 2D and 3D images can be processed and visualised using our GUI.

We also developed some deep learning models to process medical images. In particular, we developed models for semantic segmentation of kidney computed tomography (CT) images. This allows us to differentiate between the background, kidney and tumour in the CT image. Several models were developed, with the best one being integrated into the GUI. The visualisation and segmentation of CT images in the GUI will help clinicians with diagnosis and preparing for surgery.
