114. Making A Virtual Hemp Wall Panel (I-12-WDAV-052-B)

Hemp is well-known for its environmentally friendly properties and is widely used as a non-bearing material in construction industry. Its flexural strength has been tested in laboratories and will be tested on finite element modelling (FEM) software called Vector2. This software is functional for concrete-based modelling and is developed to pursue this project’s targets:

  • Successfully performing the available defined experimental parameters as inputs on the hemp model.

  • Present the flexural load-deflection curve on the selected model.

  • Demonstrate insights of mesh sensitivity analysis.

  • Provide recommendation for future work.
