132. The Analysis Of 3D Concrete Printing (3DCP) Materials (I-12-GALI-062)

3D concrete printing (3DCP) technology is rapidly developing in recent years in construction fields due to its high freedom of design, autonomous construction, high predictability, speed of delivery and sustainability. In the construction industry, the 3DCP technique is the process of placing a continuous filament of cement-based concrete through a small nozzle which is mounted on a robotic arm in order to build a vertically standing multi-layer product.

The aim of this project is to analyse the principle of 3DCP and to provide a structured insight into the technical issues and solutions surrounding 3DCP. We will discuss the properties of fresh materials used in 3DCP prior to setting, pumpability and buildability of 3D printable, hardened properties of 3DCP materials, and applications of 3D printed concrete in modern society. The outcome of the project will be a well-developed 3D printing mixture by considering general design principles (rheological behaviour, yield stress, compressive strength) for 3D printing of concrete material. The outcome of this project can offer a new solution to one of the main challenges which concrete 3D printing currently faces.
